Mable "Darlene" Everhart, age 83, a resident of Braymer, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2019, at North Kansas City Hospital.
Darlene was born the daughter of Clifton Guy and Myrtle Esta (Ross) Carden on August 3, 1935, in Quitman, Missouri. She was a 1953 graduate of Burlington Junction High School. Darlene earned a Bachelor's in Nursing at Avila College. She worked as a nurse for the United States Department of Veterans Affairs. Darlene was a member of the United Methodist Church of Braymer. She loved playing cards and having lunch with friends. She was also a part of the book club and the Caldwell County Historical Society.
Survivors include: one son, Steven Everhart and wife Vicki of Yucca Valley, California; four daughters, Darla Cope and husband Allen of St. George, Utah, Janette Turner and husband Ken of Greenwood, Missouri, Carol Brown and husband Marty of Lathrop, Missouri, Jennifer Everhart and husband Hung Ngo of Kansas City, Missouri; twenty grandchildren; and twenty-nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Ross Jr. Carden; two grandsons, Jerry Don Fields and Robert Dean Everhart; and one great-granddaughter, Aemilia Audrey Wahwassuck.
Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Saturday, June 22, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Saturday, June 22, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Friends may call the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Friday, June 21, 2019 from 12 noon until 6:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Quitman Cemetery, Quitman, Missouri, on Saturday, June 22, 2019, at 3:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Caldwell County Historical Society or the Caldwell County Library and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
