He was united in marriage to Cleta Bea Bowling on March 25, 1973 at the Hale Baptist Church. She preceded him in death on July 15, 2004. Lynn worked in the water department at Chillicothe Municipal Utilities for 37 years. He and Cleta had a dairy farm outside of Chillicothe where they raised dairy cattle and three boys. Later in life he pursued hobby farming, heading to the sale barn in Tina to check out the stock and raising cattle every Spring to Fall. They liked to follow him for a treat. He was a member of the Hale Baptist Church, Hale, Missouri. He enjoyed playing cards and snooker in Avalon with his friends every Friday and Saturday. He and Vicki enjoyed heading to Las Vegas each year for March Madness. He remained an avid sportsman throughout his life. He enjoyed fishing with his co-workers and camping with family and friends. He really liked the two weeks spent camping at the Missouri State Fair.
Lynn loved spending time with his grandchildren and attending their sporting events and activities. He never met a stranger and didn't like to miss a chance to spend time with family and friends. He always remembered birthdays and anniversaries, sometimes if you forgot. His newest best friend has been Gary the cat, they hung out on the porch enjoying outside and sending pictures to his family.
