Lyman (Speed) Watt Lyman Watt, age 80, a resident of Harrisonville, Missouri, former resident of Hale, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at Meadowview Health and Rehabilitation, Harrisonville, Missouri. Lyman was born the son of Bernard and Edith (Maudlin) Watt on July 5, 1934, in Bosworth, Missouri. He graduated from Tina Avalon High School, Avalon, Missouri in 1952. He was united in marriage to Priscilla Dee Singer on December 4, 1954, in Hale, Missouri. She preceded him in death on November 8, 2008. Lyman was a member of the Boilermakers Local Lodge No. 83 of Kansas City, Missouri, since 1964. He worked for the Boilermakers Local Lodge No. 83 as a Journeyman Welder until his retirement in 1996. Lyman was also a member of the Hale Masonic Lodge No. 216 and attended the Hale United Methodist Church, Hale, Missouri. Survivors include one daughter, Vicki Headley and husband Russ of Lee's Summit, Missouri; one grandson Ian Headley of Lee's Summit whom "Poppy" loved to talk farming with; and one sister Patty Elliot and husband Bob of Mooresville, Missouri. He was preceded in death by parents; wife Priscilla Watt; and sister, Nina Goldsberry. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. A family visitation will be held on Friday, July 11, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Lindley Funeral Home, Hale, Missouri. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Hale, Missouri, on Friday, July 11, 2014, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Hale Memorial Gardens.
