Lyman Shrum McBee Lyman Shrum McBee, age 84, a lifetime resident of Braymer, Missouri, passed away suddenly on Friday, November 25, 2011, at North Kansas City Hospital, North Kansas City. Lyman was born to John Nicholas and Carrie Lee (Shrum) McBee on October 22, 1927, in Cowgill, Missouri. He was united in marriage to Ramona June Murray on August 4, 1950 in Braymer, Missouri. He was a lifelong farmer. Lyman was a member of the Braymer United Methodist Church, following the closing of McBee Chapel, and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, John Jay McBee, and Jean Cowell; and one sister Barbara Jane Sharpe. Survivors include his wife Ramona of the home; three sons, John Lyman (Gwen) McBee of Huntsville, Missouri, Joe McBee of the home, and Him (Zelta) McBee of Smithville, Missouri; one daughter, Mona Kay (Eugene) Rennison of Braymer, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Heather (Casey) Ingram, J.T. McBee, Jeremy (Amanda) McBee, Jennifer (D.J.) Paet, Kit (Brittnie) Rennison, Nicholas (Tawana) Rennison, Carrie (Bud) Orvis, and Curt Rennison; and seven great- grandchildren, Kylea Ann Ingram, Luke McBee, Jazlyn Rennison, Karstin Rennison, Emerson Rennison, Ellison Rennison, and Toby Orvis; and Armin Ciersdorff, former exchange student and close family friend, and numerous other family and friends. Funeral services will be held at the United Methodist Church in Braymer on Tuesday, November 29, 2011. Interment will be held at McBee Chapel Cemetery in Braymer.
