Lowell Leonard Smith
Lowell Leonard Smith, age 94, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, December 31, 2021, at Morningside Center, Chillicothe, Missouri.
Lowell was the second child of Phillip and Effie (Bennett) Smith and was born on July 9, 1927, in Spickard, Missouri. He graduated from Galt High School in 1945 and went on to study at the University of Columbia. He was united in marriage to Anna Bell Croy on September 3, 1950, in Trenton, Missouri. She survives of the home. Lowell worked at the Taster's Choice Restaurant for many years. We will all miss him, as he prayed for each and every one of us daily and loved us very much.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Bell Smith of 71 years; two sons, Daniel W. Smith and wife Lucretia of Stafford, Missouri, and David "Randy" Smith and wife Diana of Osage Beach, Missouri; five grandchildren, Yolanda Cox of Lake Ozark, Missouri; Amber Smith and Jason Cramer of Osage Beach, Missouri; Jessica Smith and Nathan Maggard of St. Louis, Missouri; Jeremiah "Jerry" Smith and wife Desiree of Ft. Worth, Texas; and Samantha Cashell and husband James of Osage Beach, Missouri; twelve great grandchildren, Chandler, Peyton, Allyssa. Braden, Christopher, Brianna, Cayden, Landon, Chase, Anthony, Penny, and Marcey; three brothers, Roger Smith of Houston, Texas, Richard Smith of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Gordon Smith of Kearney, Missouri; and one sister, Jean Griesbach of Chillicothe, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Steven Michael Smith, and two brothers, Wendell and Frank Smith; and one sister, Shirley Cox.
Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, January 7, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, January 7, 2022, one hour prior to the service at 12 noon until 1:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, January 6, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Berry Cemetery, Galt, Missouri.
