Lori Elizabeth (Stottlemyre) Beier Lori Elizabeth (Stottlemyre) Beier, age 60, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2017, at her residence. Lori was born the daughter of Chester Paul and Wanda Jean (Swagerty) Stottlemyre on December 15, 1956, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She was a 1975 graduate of Chillicothe High School. She was united in marriage to Jim Beier on August 1, 1975, in Chillicothe, Missouri. They were married for 25 years. Lori worked as the Assistant Activities Director at Morningside Center, Chillicothe, Missouri. Prior to that, she worked as a Special Education Para-Professional for the Chillicothe School District for nearly 20 years. More than anything, she loved working with children, and cherished spending time with her beloved grandchildren and family. Lori loved to express her innate creativity by singing harmonies with her family, playing the piano, and sketching pictures of children. She loved spending time outdoors and preferred the "simple life," in her words. She was also passionate about dogs, and was especially fond of her beloved sheltie, "Chase," d. 2005, and rat terrier, "Lizzie." Survivors include her mother, Wanda Jean Stottlemyre of Chillicothe, Missouri; two sons, Ryan Beier and wife Nichole of Alexandria, Virginia, and Eric Beier of Fosston, Minnesota; one daughter, Haley Minnis and husband Jeremy of Chillicothe, Missouri; three grandchildren, Kimber Beier, Ace Minnis, and Jack Beier; four brothers, Randy Stottlemyre and wife Becky of Wilson, North Carolina, Steve Stottlemyre of Thomson, Georgia, Tom Stottlemyre and wife Mary of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, and Brent Stottlemyre and wife Tricia of Chesterfield, Missouri; two sisters, Lisa Crabtree and husband David of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Misty Stottlemyre Atwood of Cairo, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Chester Stottlemyre; and sister-in-law, Rhonda Stottlemyre. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, March 3, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, March 2, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, March 2, 2017, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Blue Mound Cemetery, Blue Mound, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the North Missouri Center for Youth and Families and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
