Loretta A. McClure, age 92, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2011 at Morningside Center, Chillicothe, Missouri. She was born daughter of Otto Schmid and Loretta Maley on October 14, 1918 in Kansas City, Missouri. She was a graduate from Loretta Academy in Kansas City, Missouri and attended college at the Kansas City Junior College until 1939. She married Ed McClure on October 23, 1941 in Kansas City, Missouri. He preceded her in death on January 22, 1993. She worked many years as a Laboratory Technician at Hedrick Medical Center, Chillicothe, Missouri. She is a member of the St. Columban's Church, St. Ann's Alter Society, Legion of Mary Blue Army, Chillicothe Garden Club, Chillicothe Bridge Club, and Church Women United. She also loved volunteering at Camp Rainbow. She is survived by four sons, Edward J. McClure, Jr. and wife lyndsy of San Antonio, Texas, Patrick McClure of Lawrence, Kansas, John S. McClure, Michael McClure of Chillicothe, Missouri; three daughters, Catherine Ann Muehlberger and husband Jerry of San Antonio, Texas, Peggy McClure of Chillicothe, Missouri, Loretta Ann McClure of Chillicothe, Missouri; three sisters, Martha Schroeger of Shawnee Mission, Kansas, Theresa Comiskey of Kansas City, Missouri, Barbara Dapogny of Pinehurst, North Carolina; one sister-in-law, Eileen McGown of New Brighton, Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, four sisters Margaret Dodds, Catherine Ziegler, Betty Bonfils, and Joan Ford. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Columban's Catholic Church, Chillicothe, Missouri on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. A Parish Rosary will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri on Friday, September 9, 2011 at 7 p.m. with a visitation to follow. Burial will be at St. Columban's Catholic Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be left to Hope Haven Industries and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
