Loolah "Lou" Cox

Loolah "Lou" Cox Loolah "Lou" Cox, age 86, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2015, at her residence. Loolah was born the daughter of Lee and Dollie (Pendergraft) Holloway on November 12, 1928, in Chillicothe, Missouri, the last of fifteen children. She was a 1945 graduate of Laredo High School, Laredo, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Buell Cox on December 21, 1948, in Hamilton, Missouri. He preceded her in death on July 7, 1993. Loolah owned and operated the Chillicothe Beauty Academy from 1962 until 2012. Loolah loved dogs. Survivors include two sons, Don Cox and wife Marsha of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Dick L. Cox and wife Tammy of Liberty, Missouri; five grandchildren, Jeff Cox and wife Terria of Chillicothe, Missouri, Michelle Vinson of Chillicothe, Missouri, Shelby Cox of Prairie Village, Kansas, Katie Van Horn and husband Jared of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Lyndsey Garrison and husband Josh of Rolla, Missouri,; twelve great-grandchildren, Guy Vinson, Gage Vinson, Ruthie Vinson, Montana Vinson, Remington Cox, Liberty Cox, Ruger Ray Cox Charlie Sufia Van Horn, Cash Austin Van Horn, Mack Dickie Van Horn, Sailor Wave Garrison and Navy Starr Garrison. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Buell, six brothers, Clifford, Lloyd, Bobby, Gene, Clyde, and Charles Holloway; five sisters Juanita Crist, Flora Horton, Iona Moore, Ella Mae Kelly, and Adeline Paris; and three infant brothers. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, June 4, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. There is no scheduled family visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, June 3, 2015, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri.
