Lola Mae Evans Lola Mae Evans, age 92, a resident of Breckenridge, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2017, at Hillcrest Manor, Hamilton, Missouri. Lola was born the daughter of Leo and Hazel (O'Dell) Bassett on November 17, 1924, in Mirable, Missouri. She was a 1943 graduate of Breckenridge High School. She was united in marriage to Dennis Evans on April 20, 1946, in Troy, Kansas. He preceded her in death on March 27, 1991. Lola worked as a cook at the Breckenridge Schools for 10 years. She also worked for Midwest Gloves for 16 years. She was a member of the Breckenridge United Methodist Church, Breckenridge, Missouri. She was also a member of the Breckenridge VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the University of Missouri Extension Childs Study Club. Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Evans of Cameron, Missouri, and Marsha Belshe and husband Steve of Gallatin, Missouri; eight grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; one brother, Larry Bassett of Breckenridge, Missouri; and one sister, Wanda Gilgour of Breckenridge, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dennis; infant son, James Evans; one son, Steven Evans; four sisters, Shirley Trammell, Beverly Bunch, Doris Deweese, and Dixie Johnson; and one brother, James Bassett. Funeral services will be held at the Pitts Funeral Home, Breckenridge, Missouri, on Monday, February 27, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Pitts Funeral Home, Breckenridge, Missouri, on Monday, February 27, 2017, one hour prior to the service at 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Friends may call at the Pitts Funeral Home, Breckenridge, Missouri, on Sunday, February 26, 2017, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery, Breckenridge, Missouri.
