Lois Marie Madsen

Lois Marie Madsen, age 90, a resident of Gladstone, Missouri, passed away at Indian Hills - Stonebridge, Chillicothe, Missouri, on August 16, 2010. She was born the daughter of Orlo and Kate (Benton) Stewart, on September 19, 1919, in Guthrie County, Iowa. She was married to Carl Madsen who preceded her in death. She was a longtime member of the Rebecca Lodge. A special thanks to Lori Madsen and to the staff at Indian Hills and the Hedrick Hospice, both of Chillicothe, Missouri. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by one son Gary C. Madsen and wife Janet of Gladstone, Missouri; daughter-in-law Marilyn Madsen, of Kansas City, Missouri; seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; several special nieces and nephews; and two dear friends Mary Jean McCombs and Barbara Markley-McClung. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one son Russell L. Madsen, and her sister, Wilma Armstrong. Services will be held at Hillside Christian Church 900 Northeast Vivion Road, Kansas City Missouri, on Saturday, August 21, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. There will be a family visitation at the Hillside Christian Church in Kansas City, Missouri on Friday, August 20 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. On Thursday, August 19, friends may call the Lindley Funeral Home Chillicothe, Missouri from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Burial will be in the White Chapel Cemetery in Gladstone.
