Lois Lorraine Funkhouser Lois Lorraine Funkhouser, age 81, a former resident of Shenandoah, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2013, at her daughter's home in Cowgill, Missouri. Lois was born the daughter of Dallas and Golda (Core) Bills on October 14, 1931, in Elliott, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Harold Stipe on August 23, 1950. He preceded her in death on August 23, 1951. She later married Robert Funkhouser on July 3, 1954. He preceded her in death on July 3, 2000. She was self-employed as an upholsterer for more than 50 years. Lois moved here from Shenandoah, Iowa. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Eagles Club F.O.E. 3849 in Shenandoah, Iowa. Survivors include two daughters, Kristina Stipe Rold and husband Daniel, of Cowgill, Missouri, and Deanne Funkhouser of McFarland, Wisconsin; three brothers, Bernard Bills of Red Oak, Iowa, Gordon Bills and wife Barb of Creston, Iowa, and Marlin Bills and wife Dorothy of Jenks, Oklahoma; one sister, Doris Johnson of Red Oak, Iowa; nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and one grand pup. She was preceded in death by her parents and both husbands. Celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made directly to the Community Food Pantry, 411 W.
