Lois June Cox, age 82, a resident of Braymer, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at Liberty Hospital, Liberty, Missouri.
Lois was born the daughter of Ike and Lorena (Hill) Fitzwater on January 25, 1939 in Braymer, Missouri.  She was a 1957 graduate of Braymer High School, Braymer, Missouri.  Lois was united in marriage to Donald Cox on August 5, 1957 in Braymer, Missouri.  He preceded her in death on June 11, 2008.
Lois was an avid Braymer sports fan, attending all of her grandchildren's sporting events.   She was a member of the Tuesday Study Club, the Braymer Christian Church and enjoyed afternoon coffee with friends.
Survivors include: two sons, Donnie Cox and wife Kathy of Braymer, Missouri, and Jim Cox and wife Robin of Kansas City, Missouri; one daughter, Donna Sue Cox-Rowe of Wathena, Kansas; eight grandchildren, Brad Cox and wife Toi Anne, Stephanie Joint and husband Nic, Derek Cox, Courtney Houston and husband Jake, Jacob Cox and fiancé Jordan, Amy Waldon and husband Blake, Sonny Long and Leslie Cox; seventeen great grandchildren; two sisters, Peggy Mustain of Braymer, Missouri, Virginia Owen of Braymer, Missouri, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald Cox, brother, Dale Fitzwater and sister, Delores Prewitt.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Braymer Christian Church, Braymer, Missouri.  A visitation will be held at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  Friends may call at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 from Noon until 8:00 p.m.  Burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Braymer, Missouri.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Caldwell County Cancer fund and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home P.O. Box 47 Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.  Online condolences may be left at www.lindleyfuneralhome.com
