Lois Margariete Ashford

Lois Margariete Ashford Lois Margariete Ashford, age 86, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2014, at Hedrick Medical Center, Chillicothe, Missouri. Lois was born the daughter of John W. and Amanda (Young) Plaster on November 6, 1927, in Billings, Montana. She was a 1946 graduate in Billings, Montana. She was united in marriage to Robert (Bobby) Ashford on September 26, 1954, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He preceded her in death on June 24, 1991. Lois worked for 20 years for F.W. Woolworth's, as head cashier. She also worked as a dress boutique clerk, a doctor's assistant and over 20 years as a child/eldercare provider. She was active in Sunday School, T.O.P.S., and R.S.V.P. Survivors include one daughter, Rebecca Parkey and husband Michael of Chula, Missouri; one son, Paul Ashford of Norborne, Missouri; three grandchildren, Robert Parkey of Chula, Missouri, Joshua and Jacob Ashford of Norborne, Missouri; and one sister, Ruth Fales of Tucson, Arizona. She was also preceded in death by her parents; infant son, John Robert; one brother, Earl Plaster; and one sister, Clara Strever. Funeral services will be held at the Calvary Baptist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, August 21, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Calvary Baptist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, August 21, 2014, one hour prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, August 20, 2014, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Edgewood Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri.
