Lois Ruth Allen Lois Ruth Allen, age 78, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Friday, December 21, 2012, at Cameron Regional Medical Center, Cameron, Missouri. Lois was born the daughter of Ray Laverne and Susan Opal (Harris) DeWitt on September 3, 1934, in Wheeling, Missouri. She was a 1951 graduate of Wheeling High School. She worked as a waitress for Black Jack Truck Stop in Brookfield, Missouri, for many years. She was a member of the Eagles Aerie #2428 and a former member of the Chillicothe Elks #656 .She was an avid bingo player. Survivors include one daughter, Deborah Brunk and husband Russell of St. Joseph, Missouri; and one granddaughter, Jada Thomas and husband Jody of St. Joseph, Missouri; four brothers, Gerald DeWitt and wife Anne of Chillicothe, Missouri, Bill DeWitt of Norborne, Missouri, Richard DeWitt and wife Betty of Warsaw, Missouri, and Larry DeWitt and wife Sharon of Kansas City, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Rodney Atwood; and one infant son, Dennis Delaine Atwood. Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
