Lloyd "Dean" Brown, age 89, a resident of Hale, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at Hedrick Medical Center, Chillicothe, Missouri.
Dean was born the son of Luther E. and Mary (Hinton) Brown on December 2, 1931, in Avalon, Missouri. He was a 1948 graduate of Hale High School. He then served in the United States Navy. Dean was united in marriage to June Ross on June 12, 1955, in Avalon, Missouri. She survives of the home. He worked as a farmer in the Hale area for many years. He then worked as a printer for the Humana Corporation from 1984 until 1996. Dean was a member of the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. He was also a member of the Hale Lions Club.
Survivors include his wife, June Brown of the home; one son, Larry Brown and wife Marilyn of Chillicothe, Missouri; two grandchildren, Lindsay Brown of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Megan Brown of Chillicothe, Missouri; and four great grandchildren, Cooper Jaxon Dean Brown, Chase Brown, Rian McLey, and Easton McLey. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Mary Lee Brown and Joyce Brown.
Graveside services will be held at Hale Memory Gardens, Hale, Missouri, on Thursday, December 10, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. There is no scheduled visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Hale, Missouri, on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, from 12 noon until 6:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hale Lions Club for Eye Research and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
