Linn Olen Hoskins, age 80, a resident of Hale, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at Hedrick Medical Center, Chillicothe, Missouri.
Linn was born the son of Hubert and Leona (Jackson) Hoskins on February 7, 1944 in Chillicothe, Missouri. He attended Hale High School, Hale Missouri. Linn was united in marriage to Marsha Downey on July 16, 1961 in Trenton, Missouri. She survives of the home. They have lived in Bedford, for almost 60 years.
He worked for Glen Gery as a laborer for 30 plus years. He enjoyed trapping, hunting and fishing. He raised champion Walker coon hounds. He fished the river whenever he got the chance, pulling some very large catfish out of it at times.
Survivors include his wife, Marsha of the home; one son, L. Olen Hoskins of Hale, Missouri; one daughter, Susan Davis and husband Eric of Trenton, Missouri; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, John Michael Hoskins; and two brothers.
Celebration of Life will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Hale, Missouri, on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Hale, Missouri, on Saturday, July 13, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Linn Hoskins Memorial and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
