Linda Lee Gaines Linda Lee Gaines, age 65, a resident of Breckenridge, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at her residence. Linda was born the daughter of Harry Edward and Nancy Pearl (Roberts) Reece on November 9, 1952, in St. Joseph, Missouri. She was a 1971 graduate of Benton High School, St. Joseph, Missouri, where she was a member of Concert Choir and National Honor Society. Linda then graduated with a Bachelor's of Education Degree in 1979, from Missouri Western State University, St. Joseph, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Dick Garrick on August 18, 1971, in St. Joseph, Missouri. She was then united in marriage to Mark Elton Gaines on July 10, 1994, in Plymouth, Missouri. He survives of the home. Linda worked as an English teacher for Breckenridge High School, Breckenridge, Missouri, since 1980. She was a member of the Hyde Valley Methodist Church, St. Joseph, Missouri. She was also a member of PEO. Survivors include her mother, Nancy Reece, of St. Joseph, Missouri; husband, Mark Gaines, of the home; one son, Richard Dennis Garrick, Jr. of Scottsdale, Arizona; one daughter, Katherine Gaines and Daniel Lewis, of Breckenridge, Missouri; one grandchild, Madison Garrick of Scottsdale, Arizona; one brother, Harry E. Reece, Jr., and wife Patty, of St. Joseph, Missouri; one sister, Karen Kaye Swan, of St. Joseph, Missouri; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and great-great nieces. She was preceded in death by her father. Funeral services will be held at the Breckenridge High School, Breckenridge, Missouri, on Friday, March 30, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at the Breckenridge High School, Breckenridge, Missouri, on Thursday, March 29, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Breckenridge High School, Breckenridge, Missouri, on Thursday, March 29, 2018, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery, Breckenridge, Missouri.
