Linda Lou Dudley

Linda Lou Dudley Linda Lou Dudley, age 72, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2014, at North Kansas City Hospital, North Kansas City, Missouri. Linda was born the daughter of David and Lillian (Cauble) Crose on December 27, 1941, in Bosworth, Missouri. She was a 1959 graduate of Brookfield High School, Brookfield, Missouri. After graduation she attended Kirksville State Teachers College, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Art in Elementary Education in 1964. She taught in the Brookfield School District during the 1970's, Meadville School District during the early 1980's, Chillicothe RII School District from 1983 until 1993, Brunswick School District from 1993 until 1997, Breckenridge School District during the late 1990's, and Hale School District from 2000 until 2002. She was united in marriage to William Luther Dudley on July 25, 1965 in Brookfield, Missouri. He preceded her in death on November 7, 1991. Linda was a member of the Missouri State Teachers Association, Sigma Kappa Sorority, and Delta Kappa Gamma Teachers Sorority. She was also a member of the South Eagle United Methodist Church, Brookfield, Missouri. She was a 4-H Jr. Leaders, President of South Eagle 4-H at Linn County, Girl Scout Badge Leader, a community volunteer for the Red Cross, Muscular Dystrophy, and the American Cancer Society. She taught ceramics in her home for eight years, and also taught Art classes. She enjoyed reading, cross stitching, crafting, and gardening. Survivors include two sons, Shane Dudley of Independence, and Nathan Dudley of Kansas City, Missouri; and one daughter Melanie Haile of Odessa, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William; one brother, Franklin Crose; and three sisters, Betty Smith, Mary Ann Welch, and Frances Yates. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Inn at Clover Hill, Sumner, Missouri, on Saturday, January 24, 2015, from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. A private family inurnment will be held at Parklawn Cemetery, Brookfield, Missouri, on Saturday, January 24, 2015.
