Linda Mae Bolling
Linda Mae Bolling, age 86, a resident of Cowgill, Missouri, passed away on Monday, September 20, 2021, at her residence.
Linda was born the daughter of Alva H. and Grace F. (Eller) Hickman on April 23, 1935, in Kansas City, Missouri. She earned her Bachelors of Art degree in Theology. She was united in marriage to Gilbert Bolling on July 18, 1952, in Harrison, Arkansas. Linda owned and operated multiple businesses. Linda served as a pastor for many years. She was a founding member of the Gospel Christian Center, Cowgill, Missouri. She enjoyed working all over their farm, from milking cows, driving grain trucks, hauling hays to bringing picnics to the field at lunch time. Linda served as past president of the Women's Aglow. She loved cooking, and could make anything taste good. She also loved sewing, writing books, newspaper, and magazine articles, art, and painting. Linda home schooled several of her children over the years.
Survivors include four sons, Glen Alan Bolling and wife Lisa, Cowgill, Missouri, Gilbert Wayne Bolling and wife Beki, Polo, Missouri, Lewis Dale Bolling, Cowgill, Missouri, and Ben Aaron Bolling, Polo, Missouri; four daughters, Charlene Renee' Uchtman and husband Dennis, Carthage, Missouri, Charlotte Arlene Walker and husband Robbie, Hoyt, Kansas, Wanda Darlene McBee and husband Sonny, Cowgill, Missouri, and Linda Karlene Smith and husband Robert, Dodge City, Kansas; thirty-four grandchildren; forty-nine great grandchildren; and eleven nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gilbert Bolling; two granddaughters; one great grandson; and one brother, Dan Hickman.
Funeral services will be held at Gospel Christian Center, Cowgill, Missouri, on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at the Gospel Christian Center, Cowgill, Missouri, on Saturday, September 25, 2021, one hour prior to the service at 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Friday, September 24, 2021, from 12 noon until 6:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Black Oak Cemetery, Cowgill, Missouri.
