Linda Kay Baker Linda Baker, age 64, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Monday, April 14, 2014, at Liberty Hospital, Liberty, Missouri. Linda was born the daughter of Blaine and Hazel Lorene (Chapman) Nickell on February 15, 1950, in Browning, Missouri. She was a 1968 graduate of Bell Gardens High School, Bell Gardens, California. Linda moved to Chillicothe in 1995. Linda worked at Chillicothe Correctional Center, Chillicothe, Missouri, as a Correctional Officer for many years. She was a member of the Chillicothe Eagles Club and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2428. She enjoyed playing bingo and going to the Riverboat Casino. Survivors include four daughters, Michelle Clark and husband Michael of Lima, Ohio, Meredieth "Marcy" Dorado of Covina, California, Mandy Villanueva and husband Dennis of Long Beach, California, and Malinda Urquijo and husband Alex of Virginia Beach, Virginia; three brothers Billy Nickell and wife Veronica of West Covina, California, Roy Nickell and wife Donna of Upland, California, and Ronald Nickell and wife Jewell of Meadville, Missouri; two step brothers, Jimmy Sampsel and wife Sharon of Mira Loma, California, and Carl Sampsel of Clarksville, California; and six grandchildren, Dustin, Hannah, Megan, Marissa, Hailey, and Mea. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Glen Nickell; infant sister Donna Ray Nickell; and step-father James Sampsel. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, April 18, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. A visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, April 17, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, April 17, 2014, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Wheeling Cemetery, Wheeling, Missouri. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke's Hospice and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri, 64601.
