Lewis C. Campbell Lewis C. Campbell, age 87, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Monday, December 5, 2016, at Morningside Center, Chillicothe, Missouri. Lewis was born the son of Ralph and Burdean (Lewis) Campbell on May 12, 1929, in Andrew County. He was a 1947 graduate of Union Star High School in Union Star, Missouri. Lewis was united in marriage to Mary J. Laffey on May 1, 1949, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She survives the home. Lewis worked for Southwestern Bell in the St. Joseph, Trenton, and Stanberry areas. He later moved to the Chillicothe area where he retired in 1988 with 41 years of service. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church where he served as deacon and Sunday school teacher for many years. Lewis enjoyed playing golf, fishing, and spending time with his grandkids. Survivors include wife Mary of the home; three sons, Gary Campbell and wife Vicky of Dardenne Prairie, Missouri, David Campbell and wife Pam of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Michael Campbell and wife Jill of Otterville, Missouri; ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, James and Charles Campbell; and one sister Betty Hutchcraft. Funeral services will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, December 9, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, December 8, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, December 8, 2016, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri.
