Levona Faye Cowsert

LeVona Faye Cowsert LeVona Cowsert, age 93, a resident of Braymer, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Golden Age Nursing Home, Braymer, Missouri. LeVona was born the daughter of William McKinley Beam and Ethel Grace Phillips on December 14, 1919 in Caldwell County, Missouri. She was a 1937 Braymer High School graduate. On November 30, 1940 she was united in marriage to Ervin "Lee" Cowsert in Carrollton, Missouri. He preceded her in death in 1992. LeVona was a member of the Church of Christ. She is survived by one son, Terry Cowsert and wife Dianne, of Braymer, Missouri; one daughter Jan Carnaham, and husband David, of Richmond, Missouri, five grandsons; Doug Petree and wife Jane of Kearney, Missouri, Greg Petree and wife Katy of Staplehurst, Nebraska, Rodney Cowsert and wife Diana of Norborne, Missouri, Ryan Cowsert and wife Glenda of Braymer, Missouri, Reggie Cowsert and friend Jeanie of Norborne, Missouri. LeVona is also survived by six step-grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and one brother, Melvin Beam. Services will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. at the Church of Christ, Braymer, Missouri. There will be a family visitation on Saturday, December 22, 2012 from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at the Church of Christ, Braymer, Missouri. Friends may call at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri; on Friday, December 21, 2012 from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Braymer, Missouri.
