Lester Lee Mallory

Lester Lee Mallory Lester Lee Mallory, age 89, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at St. Luke's Northland, Kansas City, Missouri. Lester was born on June 7, 1927, the son of Jesse Grundy and Ola Mae (Tucker) Mallory, in Harden, Missouri. On April 5, 1952, he married Margarett Hogsett in Chillicothe, Missouri. She preceded him in death on May 23, 2006.   Lester served in the United States Army during World War II. He worked as a Depot Agent for Milwaukee Rail Road from 1944 until he retired in 1985. He was a member of the Chillicothe Elks Lodge. He was a master carpenter and gardener. Lester is survived by his daughter Laurie Mallory of Chillicothe, Missouri; two sisters-in-law Dorothy Mallory of Braymer, Missouri and Reva Mallory of Carrollton, Missouri and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his parents, his son Ron Mallory; sisters, Gertrude Padget, Lillie Mae Still, Felicia Felber, Beatrice McBee, Viola McGinnis, Billie Griffin, Genavene Mallory and Evalene Mallory; brothers, Tucker, Grundy, Howard and Wallace Mallory and several nieces and nephews.   Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. There is no scheduled family visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri on Friday, March 17, 2017 from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Braymer, Missouri.
