Lester Lavonne Lee, age 86, resident of Tina, Missouri passed away on September 5, 2011, at Life Care Center of America, Carrollton, Missouri. He was born son of Roscoe Lee and Vida Smith on October 15, 1924, in Gallatin, Missouri. He was a 1941 graduate of Tina High School. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Navy as a Gunner Mate 3rd Class. He married Melba Daugherty on March 20, 1948 in Chillicothe, Missouri. She survives of the home. Lester worked as a machine operator for Burlington Northern Railroad for thirty-six years. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employees Union and a member of the Pence-Lovell-England VFW Post 1773, in Carrollton, Missouri. He is survived by two daughters Carolyn Nelson of Tina, Missouri; Deborah Lee of Tina, Missouri; two sisters Rosemary Kesler of Lake Jackson, Texas; Audrey Condron of Dawn, Missouri; one brother Keith Lee and wife Alice of Carrollton, Missouri; five grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, and one son, Larry Lynn Lee.
