Leslie Ray Lawson

Leslie Ray Lawson, age 83, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Friday, December 4, 2015, at Hedrick Medical Center.   Leslie was born the son of Ray and Opal (Coen) Lawson on August 18, 1932, in Livingston County, Missouri. He was united in marriage to Marjorie Seidt on June 11, 1971, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She survives of the home. Leslie was a 1950 graduate of Lock Springs High School. He was employed by John Graves Food from 1970 for 25 years until his retirement in 1995. After retirement Leslie also worked for Saccaro Car Wash.   Survivors also include: two sons, David Lawson and fiancé Olga of Wichita, Kansas, and Steven Lawson of Wichita, Kansas; one step-son, Doug Rees of Chillicothe, Missouri; one step-daughter, Cathy Hevalow and husband Bill of Hamilton, Missouri; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; one brother, Lowell Lawson and wife Elaine of Shreveport , Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Leonard, Lewis and Lester Lawson.   A Graveside service will be held Friday, December 11, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Chillicothe, Missouri. There is no scheduled family visitation. Friends may call on Thursday, December 10, 2015, from 9:00 a.m until 5:00 p.m. at Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Chillicothe Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home PO Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri, 64601.
