Leroy Dominique

Leroy Dominique Leroy Dominique, age 83, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2014, at his residence. Leroy was born the son of John A. and Bertha O. (Corbin) Dominique on February 15, 1930, in Ludlow, Missouri. He was a 1948 graduate of Chillicothe High School. He was united in marriage to Frances L. Summerville on May 22, 1948, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She survives of the home. He was a member of the Chillicothe Battery B 1-129th Field Artillery for 38 years, serving as 1st Sergeant. Leroy was employed by Chillicothe Ford for 41 years, during which time he was manager of the service department. He was a member of the Chillicothe Friendship Lodge #89 A.F. & A.M. for 50 years, the Chillicothe Elks Lodge #656, the Livingston County Steam and Gas Association, Chillicothe Horseshoe Association, and the NHPA. Leroy was a member of the Centenary M.E. Church South, and attended the Cowboy Church in Blue Mound, Missouri. Survivors include his wife, Frances of the home; four sons, Gary Dominique and wife Janice of Lake Ozark, Missouri, Joe Dominique and wife Pat of Grandview, Missouri, Steve Dominique and wife Belinda of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, and Scott Dominique and wife Lisa of Chillicothe, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Tiffeny Hinkebein, Rusty Dominique, Aaron Dominique, Bryan Dominique, Van Dominique, Stephanie Feldman, Megan Dominique, Hannah Dominique, and Bryce Dominique; thirteen great grandchildren, Maecy and Marin Hinkebein, Justin and Ryan Dominique, Avery, Aubren and Aliza Dominique, Christian Dominique, Baylee Dominique, Destanie Garza, Lindsey, Sandra, and Theodore Feldman; and one great-great grandchild, Aubree Pickett. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Rose Cartright and Addie L. Johnson. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, February 1, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. A Masonic Service will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, January 31, 2014, with a family visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, January 31, 2014, from 12 noon until 9:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri.
