Leonard H Fellhoelter

Leonard H. Fellhoelter Leonard H. Fellhoelter, age 85, a Chillicothe resident, passed away Friday, October 19, 2018 at the Baptist Home in Chillicothe, Missouri. Leonard was born the son of Henry Anthony "Tony" Fellhoelter and Kathryn (Surmeier) Fellhoelter on June 18, 1933 in Oakley, Kansas. Leonard was a 1952 graduate of Tonganoxie High School, Tonganoxie, Kansas.  He was a proud veteran as he served his country in the Korean War as a member of the United States Navy. He served from1952 to 1956. On June 4, 1960 he married Emily (Von Mitchell) Fellhoelter in Kansas City, Missouri. They lived in Parkville, Missouri, until 1967 when Leonard moved his family to Chillicothe.   Leonard was an insurance agent from 1956 until 2010 as he owned and operated Fellhoelter Agency. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 1084, as a 3rd Degree Knight. He was also a member of the Vern R. Glick American Legion Post 25. He was a family man and enjoyed his children, grandchildren and great-grandchild. Survivors include his wife, Emily, of the home; two sons, Larry Fellhoelter, and wife, Brenda, of Chillicothe, Missouri and Keith Fellhoelter of Hannibal, Missouri; and one daughter, Kathy Price, and husband, Randy, of Chillicothe, Missouri; three grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a brother, Marvin and wife, Linda, of Knoxville, Tennessee. A mass of Christian burial will be held St. Columban's Catholic Church, Chillicothe, Missouri on Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. A parish rosary will be held at St. Columban's Catholic Church, Chillicothe, Missouri on Monday, October 22, 2018, at 6:00 p.m. with a family visitation to follow. A private family graveside will take place at St. Columban's Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Bishop Hogan Memorial School or Operation HELP and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, PO Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri, 64601.
