Leon Dale Utley Leon Utley, age 78, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2013, at Indian Hills Retirement Village, Chillicothe, Missouri. Leon was born the son of James Scott and Ethel (Browning) (Wells) Utley on July 7, 1935, in Wheeling, Missouri. Leon retired from the United States Army. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War and worked as a mechanic for the U.S Army for 20 years. He was united in marriage to Beverly Mogilka on September 15, 1979 in Gallatin, Missouri. Leon enjoyed having fish frys with friends and family. He also enjoyed fishing, western movies and books, and spending time with his grandkids. Survivors include one daughter Rita Goode of Chillicothe, Missouri; three grandsons, Mathew Utley of Chillicothe, Missouri, James Goode of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Nicholas Goode of Chillcothe, Missouri; one great-grandson Caiden Goode of Chillicothe, Missouri; two sisters Eva Hays of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Dixie Milner and husband Brad of Chillicothe, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Beverly; two sisters, infant Judy Mae Utley and Gale Gilkey; and two brothers James Scott Utley Jr. and Donald Utley.
