Lennie Mae Stephens Lennie Mae Stephens, age 95, a lifelong resident of Hale and Bedford, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2016, at Carroll County Memorial Hospital, in Carrollton, Missouri. Lennie Mae was born the daughter of George and Grace (Hager) Whitt on November 6, 1920, in Gallatin, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Delford B. Stephens on December 23, 1950, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He preceded her in death on January 15, 1990. She was a member of the Hale United Methodist Church in Hale, Missouri, Hale VFW Auxiliary #3464, and the Evening Circle of the Hale United Methodist Church in Hale, Missouri, and the Hale Domestic Club. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, quilting, sewing, cooking, and spending time with family. Survivors include one son, Paul Michael Stephens and wife Marilyn of Chillicothe, Missouri; one daughter, Mary Ellen O'Dell and husband Gary of Hale, Missouri; five grandchildren, Duane Stephens and wife Laura, Julia Singleton and husband Tony, Carrie Hartwig and husband Robert, Connie Rardon and husband Derek, and Carisa O'Dell; and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers, Frank and Virgil Whitt; two sisters, Flossie Keeler, and Bertha Skipper; one grandson Ronald Dale Stephens. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Hale, Missouri, on Thursday, October 13, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Hale, Missouri, Wednesday, October 12, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call the Lindley Funeral Home, Hale, Missouri, on Wednesday, October 12, 2016, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at the Avalon Cemetery, Avalon, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hale United Methodist Church and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
