Lena Cain

Lena Cain Lena Cain, age 91, a resident of Braymer, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2018, at her residence, surrounded by her family. Lena was born the daughter of Vasil and Anna (Ikachenko) Marchenko on May 24, 1926, in Lysychansk, Ukraine, joining brother, Shura Marchenko, and sisters, Valia and Leda Marchenko. She was united in marriage to Edward James Cain on October 13, 1946. He preceded her in death on October 31, 1980. Lena worked for Banquet Foods in Carrollton, Missouri, as quality control for 15 years. She was a member of the Braymer Methodist Church, Braymer, Missouri. Survivors include one son, Gary Cain and Kathy of Braymer, Missouri; one daughter, Janie Stevens of Richmond, Missouri; six grandchildren, Scott Moore, Christy DeBolt, Gary Cain, Justin Cain, Amanda Hendley, and Courtney Cain; thirteen great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim; one son, Jim Cain, Jr.; one grandson, Ryan Cain; and one grandson-in-law, Kenneth Ray DeBolt. Funeral services will be held at the Braymer Methodist Church, Braymer, Missouri, on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. There is no scheduled visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Tuesday, March 27, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Black Oak Cemetery, Braymer, Missouri.
