Lee Dale Gibbs Lee Dale Gibbs, age 78, a resident of Wheeling, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at his residence. Lee was born the son of Hoel G. and Zeta (Shaw) Gibbs on November 19, 1937, in Royal, Nebraska. He was a 1955 graduate of Princeton High School, Princeton, Missouri. Lee was united in marriage to Suzanne Copple Long on October 5, 1958, in Chillicothe, Missouri. To this union, two children were born. She preceded him in death on May 13, 1999. Lee retired from Farmers Electric Cooperative in 1999, after 34 years as a lineman and substation service man. He was then united in marriage to Peggy Jo Strange on May 5, 2000, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She preceded him in death on July 24, 2014. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. He attended the Wheeling Christian Church, Wheeling, Missouri. He was also a member of the IBEW Local 2 of St. Louis. Lee enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and loved watching football. Survivors include one son, Scott Lee Gibbs and wife Sheila of Olathe, Kansas; one daughter, Tamerra Fae Gibbs of Kansas City, Missouri; four grandchildren; and one great grandchild; one step son Barry Littrell and wife Cheryl of Cleveland, Tennessee; two step daughters Paula Grozinger and husband Jim of Wheeling, Missouri, and Laurie Hardie and husband Joe of Chillicothe, Missouri; seven step grandchildren; and eleven step great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Suzanne; second wife, Peggy; and sisters, Marlene Jones and Verna Mae Gibbs. Graveside services will be held at the Prairie Ridge Cemetery, Polo, Missouri, on Saturday, June 18, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Wheeling Christian Church, on Friday, June 17, 2016, from 4: 00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, June 17, 2016, from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Livingston County American Cancer Society and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
