Leanna Jones Leanna Jones, age 72, a resident of Tina, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2013, at Livingston Manor, Chillicothe, Missouri. Leanna was born the daughter of Lesco and Lucille (Roberts) March on February 1, 1941, in Granger, Missouri. She was a 1959 graduate of Knox County High School, Knox County, Missouri. She attended the University of Missouri in Columbia where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education in 1977. She later received her Master's degree in Education in 1984. She was united in marriage to Kent Jones on September 2, 1995 in Skidmore, Missouri. He survives of the home. Leanna worked as a teacher all her life, she taught Life Skills at the Missouri State Hospital in St. Louis for ten years. She also taught home economics, children with learning disabilities and elementary grades in small rural areas that include Tina-Avalon, Bosworth, Breckenridge, Braymer, Stet, Watkins Mill, Marceline, and Richmond. She loved bowling, quilting, cats, and sewing. Leanna loved to help people and volunteered all her life. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved spending time with her grandkids. She is survived by her husband Kent of the home; one son Justin Mitchell of Chillicothe, Missouri; one daughter Carla Wetzel and husband Russ of Skidmore, Missouri, one brother John March of Burlington, Iowa; two sisters Nancy Muser and husband Dan of Washington, Missouri, and Polly Matteson and husband Stoney of LaPlata, Missouri; and six grandkids, Emily Wetzel, Duston Wetzel, Zachary Mitchell, Haley Mitchell, Lane Mitchell, and Kailee Mitchell. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one son Aaron Jay Mitchell. There will be a family visitation on Friday, November 29, 2013, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, November 29, 2013, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. A Private family inurnment burial will be held at a later date in Zoar Cemetery, Cainsville, Missouri.
