Lawrence D. Saale

Lawrence D. "Larry" Saale Larry Saale, age 84, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Friday, July 13, 2012, at the Missouri Veteran's Home in Cameron, Missouri. Larry was born in Chillicothe, Missouri, on December 7, 1927, the son of Ed and Grace (Thrope) Saale. He was a 1946 graduate of Chillicothe High School and attended the Chillicothe Business College until 1948. He served as a Corporal in the United States Army during World War II. Larry worked as a sales representative for Walker and Engleman Shoes for over 30 years. He was a member of the St. Columban's Catholic Church in Chillicothe. Larry enjoyed fishing, hunting and loved sports, especially golf and football. Survivors include one daughter, Pam Ross and husband Chuck of Clarence, Missouri; one granddaughter, Dana Martin; one brother, Father Richard Saale of Kansas City, Missouri; two sisters, Rita Moling of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Pat Clonan of Dublin, California. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Becky Oleson; six brothers, Ray, Vinnie, Ed, Jr., Jack, Bob, and Jimmy Saale. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Columban's Catholic Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. A parish rosary will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, July 16, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. with a family visitation to follow. Friends may call at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, July 16, 2012, from 12:00 noon until 9:00 p.m. Burial will be held in St. Columban's Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri.
