Larry Allen VanAlstine, Sr. Larry Allen VanAlstine, Sr., age 75, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2015, at the Missouri Veterans Home, Cameron, Missouri. Larry was born the son of William D. and Ruby (Holderman) VanAlstine on February 10, 1940, in Havre, Montana. He was a 1958 graduate of Flathead County High School, Kalispell, Montana. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Larry worked as a Truck Driver for many years. He was a member of the Highview Baptist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. Larry was also a member of the Vern R. Glick American Legion Post #25, and the Roy L. Burkett VFW Post #858, since 1966. Survivors include one son, Larry VanAlstine, II, of Deer Lodge, Montana; one daughter, Kelly S. Wright of Kalispell, Montana; and special friends, Ricky and Jane McClendon of Amarillo, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Barbara J. VanAlstine; one sister, Jean S. Heindel; and significant other, Janet Smith. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, February 23, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, February 23, 2015, one hour prior to the service from 12 noon until 1:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Sunday, February 22, 2015, from 12 noon until 5:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Wheeling Cemetery, Wheeling, Missouri.
