Larry Dane McCracken
The family of Larry Dane McCracken of Cameron, Missouri, is saddened to announce his passing on September 21, 2020 at the age of 73 years at his home. Larry will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 51 years, Freddie; 3 children: Salina (Troy), Larry Jr. (Deanna) and Ted; 4 grandchildren: Amanda, Dakota, Dallas and Paige; 3 great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. Larry was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Loretta "Randy" McCracken.
Larry was born at home in Chillicothe, Missouri, on February 7, 1947, to Adrian Bryant McCracken and Helen Marie Hicks. Larry was the eldest of 7 children. He spent his childhood in Chillicothe, Missouri, and moved to Dallas, Texas, for high school. Larry married the love of his life, Freddie Binkee on March 12th, 1969, in Dallas. Larry had 3 children: first born Salena Newton (from a previous marriage), 2nd born Larry McCracken, Jr. and later adopted Ted "Joe" Bolt.
Over the years Larry made several friends, and played guitar in a couple of bands. He was friendly and enjoyed the time he had with his friends and family. One of his favorite pastimes was playing any number of Final Fantasy games on either Super Nintendo or Playstation consoles. Larry enjoyed deer hunting and shooting guns at the range.
Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, September 25, 2020, at 12 noon. A scheduled visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, September 24, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, September 24, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Utica Cemetery, Utica, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Larry McCracken Memorial Fund and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
