Larry Gene Lyman Larry Gene Lyman, age 76, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Monday, July 25, 2016, at his residence. Larry was born the son of Lloyd Clinton and Eunice T. (Foster) Lyman on February 27, 1940, in St. Joseph, Missouri. He was a graduate of Central High School, St. Joseph, Missouri. Larry was united in marriage to Judith Lucille Curtin on November 11, 1960, in St. Joseph, Missouri. She survives of the home. He worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and retired after 30 years of service. Larry was a co-owner of the Chillicothe Flying Service and enjoyed teaching people how to fly. He also spent 4 years working as a commercial pilot for Air Midwest. Larry was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. He was also a member of the Communication Workers of America Local 6311, Airline Pilots Association, Experimental Aircraft Association, and was a former member of the Chillicothe Optimist Club. He loved spending time with his family and traveling to his children's and grandchildren's ball games and events. He also loved flying, RVing, traveling, woodworking, and reading. Survivors include his wife, Judith of the home; three daughters, Laurie Fairchild and husband Todd of Chillicothe, Missouri, Angela Bose and husband Jeff of Kansas City, Missouri, and Karen Jackson and husband Jeff of Chillicothe, Missouri; two brothers, Lloyd C. Lyman and wife Maxine of Sun City West, Arizona, and Charles E. Lyman and wife Elaine of Villa Ridge, Missouri; five grandchildren, Eric Fairchild, Nicholas and Daniel Bose, and Holly and Madison Williams; step grandchildren, Rachel and Barry Hudnall of Kansas City, Missouri, Deana and Josef Sizer of Adelaide, S. Australia, Sarah and Tyler Pedersen of Stanberry, Missouri; and step great grandchildren Tanner, Jackson and Harper Hudnall, Patrick and Cecilia Sizer, and Grafton Pedersen. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, July 26, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, July 26, 2016, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri.
