Kyler Thompson, 46, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away at Heartland Long Term Acute Care Hospital, in St. Joseph, Missouri on Saturday, May 7, 2011. Kyler was born on May 22, 1964 in San Francisco, California, the son of Kenneth Clark and Dixie Lee (Paxton) Thompson. He was a 1983 graduate from the East Union High School in Afton, Iowa. He worked as a carpenter and a cabinet-maker and was also employed at Lowe's. On October 24, 1992 he was united in marriage to Teri White in Higginsville, Missouri. They resided in Higginsville before moving to Chillicothe in 2006. Kyler was an avid bowler and was awarded a 300 ring for a 300 point game from the National Bowling Congress and he also had a 298 game. He shared a love for many things in life including El Caminos, playing golf, the Chicago Bears, and attending Flea Markets. He was also a member of the Church of Christ in Higginsville, Missouri. Survivors include his wife Teri Thompson of Chillicothe; father and step-mother, Kenneth and Hsiang Thompson of Cameron, Missouri; two sons, Scott and wife Laura White of Marceline, Missouri, and Damen White of Chillicothe, Missouri; one daughter, Angel Stewart of Chillicothe, Missouri; and five grandchildren, Camryn Raney of Higginsville, Missouri, Raelinn White of Warrensburg, Missouri, Colby White of Independence, Missouri, Shane Stewart of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Ceyerra White of Osage Beach, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his mother, and one brother, Darin Thompson.
