Kathryn Potter, age 99, a former Chillicothe and Laredo, Missouri, resident passed away at McLarney Manor, Brookfield, Missouri, on Wednesday, June 27, 2012. Kathryn was born the daughter of Frank and Jenny (Perry) Pinkard on January 15, 1913, in Bosworth, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Byron Potter on August 14, 1932, in Carrollton, Missouri. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Chillicothe, Missouri and also attended the Trinity Methodist Church in Brookfield, Missouri while at McLarney Manor. She was a member of the CWF Christian Women's Fellowship, JW PEO, and Order of Eastern Star chapter 113 all of Chillicothe, Missouri. She loved playing bridge and was very active in her community. Survivors include one son, Maurice Potter and wife Loretta of Mendon, Missouri; two daughters, Karen Whitney and husband Jerry of Niangua, Missouri, and Donna Norris of Trenton, Missouri; one sister, Dorothy Reynolds of Crafton, Maryland; seven grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and fifteen great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Byron Potter; one brother, J.W. Pinkard; and three sisters, Marjorie Grossman, Ruth Pollard, and Trene Werden. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, June 30, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. There will be a family visitation on Friday, June 29, 2012, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri on Friday, June 29, 2012 from 12 noon until 9:00 p.m. Interment will be held at the Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Trenton, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
