Kathryn Marie Churchill Kathryn Marie Churchill, age 90, a resident of Columbia, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at The Bluffs, Columbia, Missouri. Kathryn was born the daughter of Clarence and Hattie (Batson) Alexander on July 25, 1925, in Spickard, Missouri. She was a 1944 graduate of Chillicothe High School. She was united in marriage to George Thomas Churchill on June 5, 1948, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He preceded her in death on June 27, 1973. After graduating high school, she worked for the United States Navy Department. She then worked as a House Mother for Zeta Tau Alpha, Alpha Tau Omega, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, Beta Theta Pi and Alpha Delta Pi Fraternities. She was a member of the House Mother's Association. She was also a member of the Grace Episcopal Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. She enjoyed quilting baby quilts and loved her dogs. Survivors include three children, Janice Toms and husband Kyle of Leawood, Kansas, Cheryl Jarrett and husband John of Lake Ozark, Missouri, and Thomas Churchill of Panama City, Florida; ten grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and best friend, Marie Black of Jackson, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; two brothers, Donald Alexander and Lawrence Alexander; and one sister, Dorothy DiGeorge. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, May 2, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, May 2, 2016, one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Sunday, May 1, 2016, from 12 noon until 6:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri.
