Kathryn Maxine (Pitts) Barnes Kathryn Maxine (Pitts) Barnes was born February 18, 1927 to John Henry and Cecile William (Graham) Pitts. On February 23, 1948, she was united in marriage to Donald E. Barnes in Bentonville, Arkansas and to this union three children were born. Kathryn lived most of her adult life on the family farm near Mandeville, Missouri. She graduated from Braymer High School in the class of 1945. She was a member of the Mandeville United Methodist Church. Kathryn is survived by two daughters, Donna Kay (Barnes) Yow and her husband, Jeff Cleveland, of Athan, Arizona and Karen Rae (Barnes) Kalthoff and her husband, David of Deepwater, Missouri; two grandsons, Donald E. Yow of Denver, Colorado and Jay Stumpff of Lenexa, Kansas; brother, J.W. Pitts and wife, Helen, of Braymer, Missouri; sister, Dora Jane Barron of Braymer, Missouri; nieces, nephews and a multitude of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Jay Patterson Barnes. A graveside memorial service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Braymer, Missouri, on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mandeville United Methodist Church and can be mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, PO Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri, 64601.
