Kathleen Carrol Spangler, age 81, a resident of Hale, Missouri, passed away in St. Joseph, Missouri, on Wednesday, April 14, 2010. She was born on April 10, 1929, the daughter of Larry and Clara (Cates) Butler in Gillette, Wyoming. She was a 1946 graduate of Campbell County High School. On January 9, 1946, she married Everett Dean Spangler in Harden, Montana. He preceded her in death on January 25, 2001. Kathleen was a member of the Oakland Christian Church, Hale, Missouri, where she served as the Treasurer. She was also a member of the Stokes Mound Club. Kathleen enjoyed quilting, crochet, playing cards, fishing and spending time outdoors mowing her yard and walking the farm. She is survived by her daughter Cindy R. Spangler, of St. Joseph, Missouri; one brother Jack Butler, of Arizona; one sister Bettye Wamhoff, of Sheridan, Wyoming. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one son Larry Dean, two sisters Mary Laird and Georgia Lee Morse and a brother Danny Butler Services will be at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, April 19, 2010, at 1:30 p.m. There will be a scheduled family visitation on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri. Friends may call after 12:00 noon until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri.
