Katherine Jeannette Trego Katherine Jeannette Trego, age 98, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away at Indian Hills Nursing Center, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, July 23, 2015. She was born on April 29, 1917, in Moline, Illinois the daughter of Amos and Lila (Chase) Spahnie. On April 26, 1935, she married William Trego in Rock Island, Illinois. He preceded her in death in 1988. Katherine was a member of the methodist faith where she was a Sunday School Teacher for years. She was also a member of Farm Bureau of Illinois. She loved embroidery work, gardening, canning and ceramics. She is survived by one son, Steven Trego and wife Nancy of Indianapolis, Indiana; three daughters, Patricia Matalik, Joanne Buss and husband Richard, all of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Alice Aldrich of Pass Christian, Mississippi; ten grandchildren; several great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, three sisters, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at the Cable Village Cemetery, Sherrard, Illinois on Friday, August 14, 2015, at 3:00 p.m. Immediately following the graveside service there will be a fellowship held at Cable Community Church, Sherrard, Illinois.
