Karen Mae Reed Karen Mae Reed, age 66, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2013, at Hedrick Medical Center, Chillicothe, Missouri. Karen was born the daughter of Burton Maxwell and Mae (Sizemore) Keithley on June 25, 1947, in Trenton, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Robert Reed on March 4, 1965, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He preceded her in death on December 16, 2010. Karen worked from home as a daycare provider for many years. She was a member of the Church of Christ, Chillicothe, Missouri. Karen served as the activities director for Long Blum, employed by the Chillicothe After School Club, and served as a foster parent. Survivors include three sons Kenny Reed and wife Connie of Chillicothe, Missouri, Robbie Reed and wife Cathy of Marshall, Missouri, and Gary Reed of Laredo, Missouri; one brother Sonny Keithley of Avalon, Missouri; five grandchildren Jeremy Reed and wife Abby of Chillicothe, Missouri, Cody Reed of Marshall, Missouri, Brooklyn Reed of Chillicothe, Missouri, Brandan Reed of Laredo, Missouri, Vinson Moore of Chillicothe, Missouri; two great grandchildren, Benjamin Reed and Jaxon Reed of Chillicothe, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert Reed; four sisters, Della Deardorff, Phyllis Laughridge, Linda Quinn, and Sharon (Drake) Buchanan; and one brother Donnie Keithley. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, August 29, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, August 28, 2013, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, August 28, 2013, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri.
