Karen Sue Lower

Karen Sue Lower, age 60, a resident of Independence, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at Indian Hills Retirement Village, Chillicothe, Missouri. She was born June 12, 1949 in Chillicothe, Missouri the daughter of Orland H. Lower, Fleeta P. (Cooper) Lower Boyd, and stepfather, James H. Boyd. Karen was a homemaker. She was a member of the Highview Baptist Church in Chillicothe, Missouri. Survivors include one son, William Sprong of Independence, Missouri; one daughter, Tracie Sener and husband Scott of Independence, Missouri; three sisters, Cheryl Sprong of Chillicothe, Missouri, Becky Hinnen of Chillicothe, Missouri, Lisa Snoderly and husband Mike of Bedford, Missouri; two stepbrothers, Dennis Boyd and wife Judy of Annadale, Minnesota, Jimmy Boyd of Pennsylvania; one stepsister, Sue Ann Prante of Washington; five grandchildren, Ashley Serner, Abbie Serner, Autumn Serner, all of Independence, Missouri, Madelyn, Carly Sprong both of Independence, Missouri; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Marilyn Lower Ganske. Services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe, Missouri on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. There will be a family visitation prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri. Friends may call on Friday, April 16, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in May Cemetery, Chula, Missouri.
