Karen K. Jones, age 78, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Indian Hills, a StoneBridge Community, Chillicothe, Missouri.
Karen was born the daughter of James Citron and Mary (O'Haver) Schaub on September 19, 1945 in Independence, Missouri. She was a 1963 graduate of Chillicothe High School, and she attended Trenton Junior College. On November 1, 1964, she married Gary Mack Jones in Chillicothe, Missouri.
She was employed for at least 26 years by Gary’s Appliance Service, the business she and her husband ran together in Chillicothe, Missouri. Prior to that, Karen sold real estate. She was a collector of wash basins and pitchers, dolls, knickknacks, jewelry and teddy bears.
Karen is survived by her daughter, Kim Griffin, and her husband, Rick, of Chillicothe, Missouri; five granddaughters, Megan Taylor, and husband, Nate, of Kansas City, Missouri, Madison Yardley of Savannah, Georgia, Ashley Britt of Chillicothe, Missouri, Misty Weaver and husband, Josh, of Chillicothe, Missouri and Camie Harrison and husband, Patrick, of Chillicothe, Missouri; and ten great grandchildren, Cadence, Callaway, Coraline, Bryson, Anabel, Syndey, Hunter, Avery, Kamden and Gracie. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Dale and Ronnie Citron; and two great grandsons, Finn and Hudson.
A cremation was held. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Chillicothe Housing Authority, 320 Park Lane, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, January 19, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
