Karen I. Ireland, age 67, a resident of Chula, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2019, at Hedrick Medical Center, Chillicothe, Missouri.
Karen was born the daughter of William (Bobby) and Irene (McMullen) Holloway on September 9, 1952, in Laredo, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Bobby Ireland on December 24, 1969, in Laredo, Missouri. He survives of the home.
She worked at Grand River Inn as a controller, Cooke Sales and Service as a Secretary, and Owned and Operated Ireland Recreational Center from 1992 until 2003. Karen enjoyed traveling, spending time with family, and raising her chickens.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby Ireland of the home; one son, Scott Ireland and Mary of Chillicothe, Missouri; two daughters, Stephanie Gibson and Brian of Avalon, Missouri, and Patty Eckert and Kevin of Laredo, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren, Cody and Madison Ireland, Samantha and Marc Jungles, Tiffany and Marcus Price, Emily Hall, Derek and Jaci Eckert, Shelby Eckert, Dakota Ireland, and Brandon Sorenson; sixteen great grandchildren; two sisters, Dollie Nibarger and Richard of Liberty, Missouri, and Diane Barnard and Dennis of Trenton, Missouri; and one brother, George Holloway of Trenton, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bobby and Irene Holloway; mother and father-in-law, Earl and Vera Ireland; two infant sisters; and her beloved dog, Kobe.
Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, October 29, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, October 28, 2019, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, October 28, 2019, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Plainview Cemetery, Chula, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to Plainview Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
