Karen A. Foster, age 81, a resident of Lee's Summit, Missouri, a former resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2020, at her residence.
Karen was born the daughter of Clarence and Irene (Etter) Archer on April 12, 1939, in Rock Island, Illinois. She was a 1957 graduate of Chillicothe High School. After graduation, she attended Marycrest College, Davenport, Iowa. Karen was united in marriage to William "Bill" Foster on August 12, 1960, at St. Columban Catholic Church in Chillicothe, Missouri. He preceded her in death on September 27, 2019. She was a member of Our Lady of the Presentation Catholic Church, Lee's Summit, Missouri.
Survivors include two sons, Christopher L. Foster and wife Sandi of Kansas City, Missouri, and Randall Foster and wife Miranda of Port Orchard, Washington; one daughter, Leslie Memoly of Blue Springs, Missouri; six grandchildren, Taylor and wife Lauren, Cassidy and husband Jared, Madison, and Carsten Foster, and Danielle and Brooke Memoly; four great grandchildren, Arthur and William Foster, and McKinley and Easton Pitts; one sister, Donna Brunelle of Omaha, Nebraska; two nephews, Doug Brunelle and David Foster; and one niece Stephanie Manganaro. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill; and one infant daughter, Kimberly Foster.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of the Presentation Catholic Church, 130 NW Murray Road, Lee's Summit, Missouri 64081, on Monday, September 28, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. There is no scheduled visitation. Inurnment will be held at St. Columban Catholic Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, September 28, 2020, at 3:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Presentation Catholic Church to support ministries Karen was involved in and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
