June Elaine Simmons June Elaine Simmons, age 85, a resident of Chula, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2011, at her residence. June was born the daughter of Ervin and Bertha (Case) Eccles on March 4, 1926 in Chula, Missouri. She graduated from Meadville High School. On May 25, 1944 she married Thomas J. Simmons in Chillicothe, Missouri. He preceded her in death on January 30, 1990. She lived her life in Chula, Missouri, was a homemaker and supporter of the Chula Community. June is survived by her son Thomas Wayne Simmons of Escondido, California; two daughters Rita Wassmann and husband Larry "Tom" Farr of Stewartsville, Missouri, Linda Gillilan and husband David of Chula, Missouri; sister Doris Perue of Masaryktown, Florida; ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents, sister Ila Perue, son William Dean Simmons and grandson T.J. Simmons. Funeral services will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri on Sunday, October 30, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. A family visitation is scheduled for Sunday, October 30, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the Funeral Home. Friends may call on Saturday, October 29, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. 9:00 p.m. at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri. Burial will be held in May Cemetery, Chula, Missouri.
