Judy Lee Bowman

Judy Lee (Greenwood) Bowman Judy Lee (Greenwood) Bowman, 68, of St. Joseph, passed away Monday, January 9, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer. Judy was born May 16, 1943, in the hotel in Breckenridge, Missouri, to Reginald and Helen (McCormick) Greenwood. Judy was the secretary for Breckenridge R-I for many years before beginning a 20 year career with the Missouri Department of Corrections, where she retired as a business manager at the Maryville Treatment Center. Judy was an avid crafter, lover of violets and orchids and a collector of beautiful things. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Bobby and husband Lloyd Bowman. Judy is survived by her three daughters, Traci Bowman, St. Joseph, Missouri, Laurie Bowman, St. Joseph, Missouri, and Nici (Craig) Hayes, St. Joseph, Missouri; her two granddaughters, Hannah and Kate, whom she loved crafting with; her siblings Jim (Judi) Greenwood, Colorado, and Sharon (Bob) Grant, Hamilton, Missouri; many nieces and nephews all over the U.S.; and several close friends. Funeral services will be held at Breckenridge Methodist Church, Breckenridge, Missouri, on Thursday, January 12, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. A family visitation will be held at Pitts Funeral Home, Breckenridge, Missouri, on Wednesday, January 11, 2012, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call Pitts Funeral Home, Breckenridge, Missouri, on Wednesday, January 11, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., and on Thursday, January 12, 2012, from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held in Rose Hill Cemetery, Breckenridge, Missouri.
