Judith Marie Bloss

Judith Marie Bloss, age 75, a lifelong resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 27th, 2024, at Grand River Health Care, Chillicothe, Missouri. She was born the daughter of Richard and Dorothy (Samm) Prewitt on March 18th, 1949, in Chillicothe, Missouri.

Judith was a devoted factory worker at the Boss, Lambert and Midwest Glove Factories, in Chillicothe, where she spent many years as a valued employee. Her work ethic and spirit were admired by many, and her commitment to her craft was evident in all she did.

Beyond her professional life, Judith found joy in the simple pleasures of crocheting, fashion jewelry and listening to rock and roll music. Her handmade creations were cherished by her family and friends, and music was a constant companion throughout her life.

She is survived by her beloved son, Cecil Ray Bloss (Kim), of Chillicothe, Missouri; and her cherished grandchildren: Brandi Welty (Michael) of Kirksville, Missouri, Amanda Howell (Robert) of Austin, Texas, Dereck Bloss of Meadville, Missouri, and Kayla Vochatzer (Austin) of Centerview, Missouri. Judith's legacy continues with her eight great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life.

Judith is also survived by her sister, Joyce Ellis, of Chillicothe, Missouri; two brothers, Ronald Prewitt (Judy Ann) of Gladstone, Missouri, and Richard Prewitt (Janna) of Riverside, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her granddaughter Tiffany Bloss, and her sisters Mary McElwee and Carol Orr.

A memorial service will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, December 10th, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
